Springtime at Wit's End | |||||||||||||||
|
|||||||||||||||||
After
a long snowy winter, the sight of brilliant crocuses thrills us. |
Numerous
prospective tenants check out the bluebird houses. These two tree swallows
outmaneuvered several competitors for this site. |
||||||||||||||||
Squirrels
continue to amaze us with their agility and ingenuity. |
A
pasque flower is the first perennial in our garden to bloom in spring. |
||||||||||||||||
The
perennial bed at the side of the house is filled with lupins, lilies, monkshood,
ground phlox, pinks, coral bells, goat's beard, and - would you believe
rhubarb? |
Deer
are frequent visitors to the back yard and the field beside the house. We
have had as many as four at a time in the evenings. |
