Sept 23, 2002 - Another confirmation, if it were needed, of the wonderful hospitality of Canadian B&Bs. What a shame we missed the opening and the musical happening at the Tree Museum. Sept 23, 2002 - What a delightful place to stay - a "warm welcome" fails to do justice to the fun and laughter engendered by Carol and Mike. The walk through the woods to the "Tree Museum" is recommended especially if Mike is persuaded to accompany the expedition - his Liverpool wit would certainly have enhanced the experience without doubt. Aug 6-7-8, 2002 - Wit's End is a paradox. There is the anxiety underlying the name. On approach, you ask "Is this white glass-fronted home really a city house wishing it were on a town street, not caught in the country?" Then you step into a vestibule, a family room, the kitchen as the centre of the house and you know the bones of a heritage house are here. Looking to the distance from the breakfast room, you see the horses standing with their foals, and grazing sheep, but close up the hummingbirds, goldfinches and purple finches as busy as Carol and Mike are dispensing their charm and generosity. We'll come back for Michael's bluebirds. E&EL, Etobicoke, ON

August 5, 2002 - Wit's End is well-named, "appearing" when we were almost prepared to sleep in the car. What good luck, for us, that there was no accommodation available elsewhere.
