August 18, 2001 - What you can do in 1 1/2 days of holiday around Wit's End: Gravenhurst Dockside Festival of Arts (and listen to Bruce's great descriptions of Canada and Europe); Bracebridge under the rain but still lovely: canoeing on the lake in the morning; hiking to Strawberry Bay viewpoint and get a dip in the lake; ooops: forgot about the ride on the Segwun which is truly enchanting; carrying the golf bag around (a lot more distinguished than just playing!) and, and and...
But we really got the revelation at Wit's End: the warmth of the welcome, the gorgeous breakfasts, the stargazing lying on the grass AND lying in bed watching the ceiling, and the numerous discussions we had with you, Carol and Mike, as well as the other guests. A truly unforgettable stay, and you are the biggest part of it! When we come back one day, it will be like coming home! Thank you so much, a tres bientot, S&F, Paris, France

July 6th to 11th, 2001 - Carol and Mike - proprietors and friends. From the informative emails we entered your lovely home feeling "at home with friends". You went out of your way to make our stay very enjoyable. From the homemade bread and preserves to the extravagant eggs Florentine -TWICE- WHAT A TREAT!! Our four year old and ten week old (your youngest patron) loved the hugs and attention. Mom and Dad loved the charter you arranged too. You've made our first vacation as a family of four a truly wonderful time to venture, see the horses, sheep, birds and even a fox - a great experience... If we hadn't seen Santa in Bracebridge I would have sworn Mike and Carol were Mr. and Mrs. Claus with their caring and sharing. A Family, New Dundee ON
