Below, a photo essay - A road trip to see the colours.

One of our favourite trees, leaning over the river at Port Sydney.

Same tree, closer view.

At the falls just upriver from the tree above, the water from recent rains is rushing.

Rocks worn smooth from the effects of the water. A great place for a summer picnic.

View of Fairy Lake from the Lion's Lookout in the town of Huntsville. Drive all the way to the top!

View of the trees from the Fire Tower just outside the village of Dorset, overlooking Lake of Bays.

The Village of Baysville scenic dam and picnic area. Boat tours available.

Baysville has a memorial park with pathways along the river, seating, and gardens.

View from the top of High Falls, easily accessible from Highway 11 just north of Bracebridge. Well worth a stop.

Lots of water pouring over this year. Walk to this viewpoint halfway down the falls. Not easy going in places. Beside the Trans Canada Trail.

St. Peter's Church Roxborough (Anglican) on the Fraserburg Road has family connections.

A fitting welcome home - sunset over Doe Lake.
Each year we look forward to Autumn season. The vibrancy of the display of fall colours can be weather dependent. Enjoy these Muskoka pictures taken a short drive away from Wit's End (photos 1-5 by our guest Joe Arblaster. Thanks, Joe)
