Driving from the south towards Gravenhurst:

Brief version. From Highway #11 take exit #175 (north side of Gravenhurst). Bear right and continue along Doe Lake Road for exactly 6 kilometres to #1611.

Expanded version - for those unfamiliar with the area. When you are near Barrie coming up Highway 400, watch for the split to Highway 11 Northbound. It is located just after the Duckworth Street exit at the north of Barrie. You'll see Georgian College and Royal Victoria Hospital on the right. Get into the middle or left hand lane, as Highway 11 splits off to the left. If you keep to the right, you go further up Highway 400, which is not where you want to be.

About 45 minutes after that, when you come up Hwy 11 and get near Gravenhurst, stay in the right hand lane to bypass the town itself and proceed another 6 kilometres to Exit #175 (Doe Lake Road). Bear right after you exit and follow Doe Lake Road for exactly 6 kilometres to #1611, Wit's End. There are blue signs all along the roadside at every house, so you'll be able to tell when you are getting close. When you see 1610 on the right, we are the next house on the left, about 200 metres further along.

Another scenic Route - an Algonquin Alternative
If you have driven the Highway 17 / Hwy 60 Route many times you may be ready for a change. You might want to try this route. Use your free copy of the Ontario Road Map for reference.

From Ottawa take Hwy 17 to Renfrew, 132 to Dacre, 41 to Denbigh, 28 through Bancroft to Paudash, 121 to Tory Hill, 118 through Haliburton, West Guilford, Carnarvon, bypass Vankoughnet, Uffington and Muskoka Falls to Hwy 11S (at this point you are very close to Bracebridge).

Take 11 South to the next intersection (about 5 km) - Doe Lake Road exits to the right, and then bear left. Stop at the stop sign, turn left, and proceed 6 km to #1611 Wit's End

If you are already in Gravenhurst and driving to find us:

From Sagamo Park: turn left and follow Bay Street back up to Muskoka St (main street of Gravenhurst) where you come to a set of lights. Go straight through the lights and two more blocks, (train station on right), over the railway tracks, and turn left at the lights (Bethune Drive). Follow Bethune Drive for about 4 km. at which time you cross overtop of Highway #11. Bethune Drive changes name
at that point to Doe Lake Road. Continue along Doe Lake Road for 6 km, to #1611. We are on the left.

From Taboo: Follow Muskoka Beach Road back into Gravenhurst. At Winewood (Centennial Centre straight ahead, variety store on your left) turn left, cross railway tracks, and take first left (Bethune Drive). Follow Bethune Drive for about 4 km. at which time you cross overtop of Highway #11. Bethune Drive changes name
at that point to Doe Lake Road. Continue along Doe Lake Road for 6 km, to #1611. We are on the left.
